So me, my Cousins Sonia and Jess, Best friend Sam and Boyfriend Jordon are taking part in this years Colour Run for Overgate Hospice on the 7th July. Like many others I’ve experienced how amazing the hospice is as my Mum visited the day hospice every week and was also booked in for rest bite care a couple of weeks after she passed away. They are also a massive support to the families of the patients. Me and my Auntie Kathryn went to carers group from May last year and then we were also invited to grievance counselling which I’d decided wasn’t for me, So we carried on going to carers group until December. It costs £6,800 every day to keep the hospice open, which they are only partly funded for. So that’s why me and 4 very important people in my life are taking part in the colour run to try and raise some much needed money for the hospice.
