Story
Most of the work we do with the SOS Bus NI can be small by comparison to great deeds. On an average evening I notice we give someone a blanket who is cold. Or flip flops to someone who is in heels and has aching feet! We look out for those vulnerable people who have lost their friends and reconnect them or get them home safely. We get calls from pubs and night clubs to say someone has had too much to drink and needs help and our response bus goes immediately. We don't judge. We find someone lying asleep in the street and get medical attention or bring them onto the bus and let them sleep, give them coffee or soup and listen while they talk and contact a loved one with their permission. Sometimes a young person is out very late without an adult and comes to the bus. Some are young, some are old. Every evening is different, but as Vincent Van Gogh said "Great things are done by a series of small things brought together" That's why I believe in the SOS Bus NI.
My 15 year old daughter Olivia is sleeping out all night to support us because she is great and just because I asked her to!
Thank you for your support xxx
