I will be doing a tandem jump for Dravet syndrome, which is a condition my great niece has recently been diagnosed with.
It's a very rare syndrome which can be life threatening and life changing.
dravet syndrome appears during the first year of life, often beginning around 6 months old with frequent seizures, children can have a lagged development of language & motor skills, hyperactivity & sleep difficulties, chronic infection, growth & balance issues & difficulty relating to others.
The effects of this disorder do not diminish over time & children with dravet syndrome require fully committed caretakers with tremendous patience & the ability to closely monitor them.
Karis is a beautiful strong little girl and I just wanted to help raise money for dravet as it's close to my heart.
