I am doing the United States Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC on 28 October 2018 in aid of Go Commando – a British Marine charity which is supported by my father in law “Colonel Kev”, who is a former Royal Marines officer. The charity supports nursery and early learning facilities for the children of military families. The date of 28 October is auspicious - it is the anniversary of the formation of the Royal Marines, founded on 28 October 1664.
