Challengers is thrilled to present our amazing team of runners taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 9th October 2022. Please support these amazing individuals generously!

Story

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in aid of the disabled children’s charity Challengers as I believe that every child, regardless of their disability, has the right to play. My sister works for the charity and I have seen the desperate need for their facilities.

For most children, the opportunities to play and have fun are endless: after school clubs, going to the park, birthday parties, or something as simple as going to a friend’s house. However, for disabled children, things can be very different, the opportunities to play are extremely limited and in many cases non-existent.  Disabled children and their families are often left feeling isolated, unhappy, and with nowhere to go. Being excluded can adversely impact a child’s self-esteem and confidence, resulting in social isolation and withdrawal of everyday activities.

This is where Challengers comes in.

Please donate generously to change a life today.
