Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly Meryl Hyde passed away on the 15 October 2020. She was a dearly loved wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
Born in Zimbabwe Meryl grew up with her sister and brother. She trained as a nurse and traveled to London to work. Meryl was a nurse in Stroud for 35 years. It was impossible for her to walk around Stroud without bumping into and chatting with the numerous people that she helped and had cared for.
She had a wonderful group of friends who she enjoyed holidays, line dancing and walking with.
Meryl was a fabulous baker. Her chocolate sponge was out of this world, and she made the most beautiful cakes for birthdays and special occasions.
Over the past few years Meryl had been suffering with Alzheimer’s. The family would like to raise funds towards beating this cruel disease in Meryl’s memory.
We would also love to hear your memories of Meryl in the comments.
Thank you so much
