Charity cycle - Normandy Battlefield Tour 2023 · 15 July 2023 ·

Our annual charity cycle ride 2023 is even bigger than last year; 70 riders will visit each of the D-Day Normandy memorial sites over a 4 day period in July 2023. We are raising much needed funds for welfare support and safe spaces for Veterans.

Story

Woody's Lodge is an exceptional charity that provides a safe space for veterans to meet and socialise, as well as offering vital support with issues like housing, employment, and finances. Their work has a profound impact on the lives of veterans, and every donation makes a real difference.

I am also fundraising in memory of my parents, Eric and Esme Mason, who dedicated their lives to supporting the Armed Forces community. Eric was a Royal Air Force veteran and spent years of his working life with Masons Removals supporting the Armed Forces, moving personnel around the country and overseas. Esme was the backbone of Masons Removals, raising four children whilst keeping the company running smoothly.

I am proud to support Woody's Lodge in honour of my parents and Welsh veterans who made sacrifices for their country. Your donation, no matter how small, will help provide crucial support to Welsh veterans in need. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.

I have chosen to be part of a great team of 70 cycle riders who will tour the Normandy D-Day battlefields from 11th July to 15th July 2023. We are all required to raise at least £1250 each to help the charity to continue to support our Welsh Veterans.
