Great North Run Solo
I've signed up to this incredible event: complete 40 runs in 78 days from June 28th until September 13th 2020. It's the Great North Run's 40th Anniversary, and so each run marks a year since the GNR began. I'm aiming to complete 300 miles in their gold challenge. See more about it here: https://www.greatrun.org/virtual-running/great-north-run
I love to run. I run for fun, and now I am fundraising too. Please help me raise money for St. Cuthbert's Hospice. 300 miles is a long way to go ... I would love to do this with your support :)
Running the Coast and in Co. Durham
I am running along the North East Coast in sections or closer to home in County Durham (on a heavy work-day). So far I have run: in Scotland from Eyemouth to Burnmouth, in Northumberland from Cheswick Beach via Lindisfarne down to Amble, near the Tyne from South Shields down the Durham coast and to Boulby in N Yorkshire, in the countryside around Durham City, plus the coast in North Wales: Criccieth to Barmouth. I am doing this in 5 mile -10 mile and half-marathon (13.1 miles) chunks, or a bit longer. At the time of writing I have covered 367 miles. I've still got one more run to reach my 40, and I'm going to keep running and fundraising to 13th September when I do the Virtual GNR ...

St. Cuthbert's Hospice
I respect the work of this Hospice hugely, and I have supported them over many years. They provide palliative care and end-of-life care, and huge support for friends and family. The Hospice needs our support. COVID-19 has only made their work more difficult, and especially lessened their ability to raise funds. Help me raise money for this amazing Hospice.
