Story

So I was all set to run my second marathon this year on 24th May in Liverpool as part of Rock and Rolls events. I hadn't chosen a charity to raise funds for and obviously the event has been postponed due to the current pandemic. However... I am determined not to let this just slip away and therefore I am going to run it locally regardless in memory of my cousin Joanne, who absolutely loved running when she could. ❤️🏃‍♀️

I am so very happy to run for a this fab charity. Jon Shaw foundation.

Please dig deep and sponsor me on my mission to support young people living with Epilepsy.

The Jon Shaw foundation are helping to purchase monitors, alarms and safety equipment to enable independent living. Improve the mental health of bereaved siblings. Raise awareness of SUDEP.

I will be running on Friday 29nd May.

Jon Shaw Foundation was set up in memory of Jon, who died aged 19 from SUDEP (SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH IN EPILEPSY) in June 2019. The charity aims to - 1. Support young people with epilepsy by providing grants for equipment such as alarms, monitors and other safety aids not normally available through NHS.2. Provide services and activities to improve the mental health of bereaved siblings. 3. Promote awareness of SUDEP, work with and support other organisations specialising in the research of this devastating cause of premature mortality.

Please dig deep to support this charity that is so close to my heart after loosing our cousin Joanne.
