Story

The charity was created in memory of a special young man, Jon, who died suddenly and unexpectedly on Fathers Day in June 2019. He was 19 years old, with a lifetime in front of him. He always looked after those who needed a helping hand and wouldn't put up with unfairness or injustice. He was a good person. We wanted to carry on helping others to honour his memory and celebrate his short life and so the Jon Shaw Foundation was born. We registered in April so at the start of this exciting journey. The support we are aiming to offer will need funding so we are raising money through our new 21 4 21 Campaign, so called to remember Jon on his 21st birthday. We have invited friends family and anyone who wants, to set themselves either individually, as a group of friends or as a family, a challenge, one that will be just that, a challenge, but fun and will attract sponsorship or donations.

So please join us in our campaign, add your event to the campaign page, help us to get 21 events set up and raise lots of money to buy equipment for young people living with epilepsy and to support bereaved siblings struggling after losing a brother or sister.

Thank you
