Story

Hello all and thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year, on August 8th Roy, Dean, Cal & Ryan will embark on a Grand Tour back in time to the 90's. We will be heading to Inverness, Scotland to start 500+ miles of the north coast.

However...... Being from the 90's, we feel that technology has taken over and taken away the difficult strains of a road trip. You can literally drive anywhere with GPS and Google maps. Driving has become too easy.

So we give to you the 90's Grand Tour.

2 Teams... 2 Cars... 4 idiots. Battling out 90's style to prove who has the best, "Reasonably Priced Car".

The Main Challenge

  • Buy 2 reasonably priced  car (Upto £500)
  • Wild camp every night of the trip
  • Drive with no GPS navigation aid
  • No mobile phones can be used (Apart from photos)
  • Silly challenges along the way to test your reasonably priced car
  • 2x Walks to be completed and all sights along the route to be seen with photographic evidence
  • Complete the challenges set with in 5 days
  • Sell the motors and put the money into charity (Scotty’s Little Soldiers)
  • Driving across some of the most dangerous roads in the UK.

Silly Challenges

  • "Inverness Top Tourists" (2 teams) ~ Both teams will have £20. Each team will need to get as many souvenirs as possible within 1 hour. Duplicate items will not count.
  • No Fuel Stop ~ With the fuel you have used on day one on day 2 you will need to seal your fuel cap and tape up your fuel gauge. Get to your next destination if you run out of fuel. You lose.
  • Drag Race......
  • Basic maintenance ~ Teams will race to change there front tyres with there rear tyres.

All This and more....

So in Summary...

2 Cars for £500 Each... 4 idiots... 2 Teams... Challenges along the way. All in the aid of our charity, Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

You can see our planned route Via Google maps which we used for the planning of the trip, however we will not be able to use this during our trip. We will be navigating old school.

So if this is a trip you are considering yourself. Feel free to use this for your own planning. (Copy and Paste Link)
