Story

Hi, I’ve created this page because I am taking on this huge challenge. I am taking on a mammoth 20km relay Open Water Swim' in St Mary's Loch in the Scottish borders where my son Christopher's ashes are. And I am doing this with the amazing Prosecco posse, #TeamNelson who are made up of close family and friends. This will take place on Saturday 22th May 2021. This in memory of my son Christopher Nelson who tragically died on the 15th November 2015 in Amsterdam. As some of you may be aware, he drowned in open water.
I want to make a difference and I'm inspired by the work of Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, formerly known as The Sick Kids which is my son's chosen charity and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Team ECHC .
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! so far we have collectively raised over 30K for the Sick Kids doing mad challenges for our boy, so it's now my turn again with the help of family and friends to pass the finish line for my laddie.
Thank you for your support in helping me keeping my son Christopher's memory alive. It means everything to us. Scott
