Story

Well I'm back with my biggest and most difficult challenge yet! It has taken me over a year to think of something that I could do that is bigger than anything I have ever done before and practically impossible both physically and mentally, but those of you that know me will know that I'm going to do this for my boy Christopher!

I am taking on the mammoth challenge of an 'Open Water Swim' in St Mary's Loch where Christopher's ashes are. This will be a 20Km relay on Saturday 22nd May 2021..and I CAN'T SWIM...'YET'! As some of you may know Christopher drowned in open water.

I am being supported and joined to do this challenge with my amazing 'Prosecco Posse' of close friends and family, whom I couldn't do this without.

I need to say a huge thanks to Steven Nelson (no relation) Founder and Manager/Activities Coordinator of BBEL (Beyond Boundaries East Lothian) Charity who has very kindly agreed to be my Water Safety Crew!

At this point I am on my 5th swimming lesson....so far it's terrifying but I'm getting there as nothing will stop me doing this for my boy!

Please help me by keeping my boy's name alive by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, (aka The Sick Kids) the greater their impact and so far we've raised over 30K in all the challenges we have done since Christopher died so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

A heartfelt huge 'Thank you' in advance for your generosity, it means the world to me to keep my boy's name alive and to raise funds for his amazing charity The Sick Kids! Donna xxx
