A few years back my dad underwent valve replacement surgery due to heriditary heart disease. It was caught on a complete off chance as part of a routine medical for his job and has changed his life.

The British Heart Foundation do amazing work in this regard and without them, who knows where my family would be right now. I feel its right given the circumstances I give a little bit of my time and effort back to them.
