I’m excited to finally get the chance to take part  in this event follow postponements and cancellations. A big thank you to Judy Murray Foundation who originally gave me the place. As they have now ceased operations this gives me the opportunity to fundraise for Scottish Sports Futures, a charity I work for and so know first hand the amazing work that is carried out to benefit the lives of the families and young people we work with. 

Training and preparation hasn’t been ideal given the uncertainty around the event and the arrival of a new baby in 2020 meaning a lot less training time available so this will be a big challenge and is my first stand alone marathon. Nevertheless I relish the opportunity to challenge myself physically and mentally and thoroughly enjoy the day. 

Thanks to everyone who donated to my previous page before the original marathon date in 2020. This money went to Judy Murray Foundation and apologies I couldn’t host the film raising fundraiser night as planned. But rest assured you money went to a good cause.

Appreciate any donations which will now go directly to Scottish Sports Futures to support the amazing work with young people and families in communities across Scotland.
