Story

The British Red Cross has been a lifeline for people for 150 years. Today, as we face the coronavirus pandemic and its impacts, that lifeline means more than ever.I'm taking part in The Wonderful Walk of Kindness. I will be choosing a route, walking the distance and doing a good deed for someone who needs it along the way. It's a chance to not only cheer someone up in the community, but also to support a really important cause, so please sponsor us! The funds will help British Red Cross staff and volunteers to continue:- Delivering food, medicine and essentials to people forced into vulnerable situations, who wouldn't be able to cope without our support.- Working with the NHS by getting patients home from over 100 hospitals across the UK, freeing up beds so our healthcare services can keep treating people.- Supporting those in need by giving emotional help to anyone struggling with loneliness, grief or anxiety in isolation, and practical support to those facing economic hardship.
