Story

Families, friends and other household bubbles up and down the UK are heading out on our The Wonderful Walk of Kindness to raise money for vulnerable people in crisis.

- Pick your date

- Choose your distance: 3k, 5k, 10k

- Get sponsored to raise £100 (or more!)

Why not deliver an act of kindness along the way? You could post a letter, do a food shop for a struggling neighbour or drop off some flowers to make someone's day.

Want to go the extra mile? Put a few more smiles on people's faces and dress up for the occasion!

When planning your walk, please ensure that you abide by government advice and social distancing measures. If you're concerned, why not sign up and plan a virtual walk or do it round the garden?

By walking and getting sponsored, you'll be spreading kindness far and wide - not only in your own community, but also to people who need it most. The funds you raise will help our staff and volunteers to continue:

- Delivering food, medicine and essentials to people forced into vulnerable situations, who wouldnt be able to cope without our support.

- Working with the NHS by getting patients home from over 100 hospitals across the UK, freeing up beds so our healthcare services can keep treating people.

- Supporting those in need by giving emotional help to anyone struggling with loneliness, grief or anxiety in isolation, and practical support to those facing economic hardship.

*£10 could buy a basic mobile phone, allowing a destitute refugee or person seeking asylum to stay connected to their loved ones while self-isolating.

*£20 could enable a volunteer team to deliver medication and other essential supplies to vulnerable people unable to leave their home.

*£30 could provide a cash grant to a family who have lost everything during the pandemic, giving a safety net to make sure they can cope.

*£50 could cover the first grocery shop for someone coming home from hospital to an empty kitchen.
