Story
Thanks for visiting and god-willing, sponsoring me on my challenge of riding 127 miles on the Liverpool to Leeds canal towpath on the 25/26 of June. The challenge will take place over two days and my fellow riders come from a variety of different backgrounds with a range of cycling experiences. One of the lads has cycled from Yorkshire to Edinburgh during a personal challenge (I cna't tell you who he is, sorry!) whereas another lad, up until around a year ago used to be fascinated at how cyclists actually keep their balance at the same time as navigating the roads. I myself am a regular rider but this challenge where we'll be covering over 60 miles of towpath each day to raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, is a little scary!!! . However, difficult though it may be, we are all determined to complete it.
The inspiration to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support came from my experience as a student nurse. During that time I completed a work placement at the Kirkwood Hospice in Huddersfield and saw for myself the wonderful contribution that organisations such as Macmillan make in the lives of many families who have had to deal with cancer. many people may be unaware of this but much of the work done by organisations such as Macmillan is funded almost entirely through the generous donations of people like yourselves.
Thankyou kindly for your donation and please dig deep and donate now. Also, don't forget to pass the information to your friends and family.
