Story
In Nov 2011 I set off on an adventure with my first stop in Tanzania in East Africa. I had a strong desire to volunteer my time and give back to others by teaching EngIish to primary school children (most of them were orphans) and younger adults.
My passion for wanting to help the less fortunate grew stronger since then and thus I have made a spontaneous decision to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this year, the highest free standing mountain (19,341 ft high) in the world. I have wanted to return to Tanzania but never found the right time until now.
This year I have a great opportunity to complete an awe inspiring challenge and I need your help and support wherever you can. I am raising the highest amount I have ever attempted and the monies raised will go towards the emergency response teams led by the charity 'penny appeal' that give their time to help families and children suffering and who are greatly affected by natural disasters leading to homelessness and food deprivation amongst other things on an international scale.
War, famine, disease, poverty & climate change have immobilised communities in Myanmar, Syria, Yemen, Gaza, Indonesia and East Africa, and Penny Appeal need your support to be able to deploy life-saving medical aid, food, clothing, sanitation and shelter to those who've been left incredibly vulnerable.
It would mean a lot to have your support, so please follow my journey and donate as much or as little as you can. Thank you!
