The Henfield Haven is the Community Support Centre for the village and local area. It provides a range of vital services, from high-needs dementia care, through carer support, social clubs, therapies, counselling and freshly prepared meals and snacks.

The Haven offers the opportunity to combat loneliness and rural isolation. Loneliness can be so debilitating and The Haven is perfect for people living on their own; the Haven Café is a great social centre.

The Henfield Haven CIO has just been recognised with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest possible award for a voluntary organisation, equivalent to the MBE. It is fully deserved testimony to the amazing group of volunteers who make the Haven what it is - and will be again.

Sadly the Haven is now under threat of closure and community support is vital so that these crucial services can be maintained.
