Our mission is to support research and unite the caring power of people worldwide affected by stomach cancer. The organization is also focused on advancing awareness and education about stomach cancer, including Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer (HDGC), provide a support network for affected families, and support research efforts for screening, early detection, treatment, and prevention of stomach cancer. Stomach Cancer is currently the third leading cause of cancer death’s worldwide with 1,000,000 new cased diagnosed each year. Early diagnosis and awareness is vitally important to saving lives.

Story

During my journey in Australia, I lived with the most amazing family who made my experience unforgettable. Devastatingly, on Monday the 19th of June 2017 Chris Shaw the father of four beautiful children and loving husband to Kylie Shaw was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of the stomach.

The Shaws had the most amazing news on the 27th of February 2018 that Chris had the all clear. After such positivity, strength and bravery it was discovered on the 26th of July 2018 Chris's Adenocarcinoma had returned to his bone marrow. After coming to terms with the fact that for Chris this was a battle that could not be won. I would  love to pursue his wish to find a cure for stomach cancer and continue vital research.

Myself and two of my good friends Rebecca (who had the pleasure of meeting this amazing man in Australia) and Rosie, are going to be climbing Snowdon on October the 27th 2018 to raise money for No Stomach for Cancer.

Please take the time to donate to this amazing cause which means so much to us all.

Team Shawry may the force be with you!
