We're supporting children's literacy with Bookmark and taking on the epic Tough Mudder Challenge on 22nd May 2022. 

In a 'normal' year, eight children in an average class leave primary school unable to read well. Now, the pandemic has made things much worse. Children in Years 1 and 2 are two or three months behind where they should be. 

Disadvantaged children are seven months behind their peers in reading.Bookmark gives children the reading skills and confidence they need for a fair chance in life, through a flexible volunteer-led programme. 

Here are a few ways you can support children's literacy:

* £10 - Gift a child with a 1:1 Bookmark reading session

* £25 - Give a Bookmark magazine to over 30 children to inspire reading at home

* £75 Gift 5 children with headsets for their Bookmark online reading programmes

*£120 - Gift a child with a 6-week 1:1 Bookmark reading programme

*£250 Inspire a childs love of reading with a new Bookmark volunteer
