Story

Henry's Angel's are a team of people who we have recruited and trained to support Henry, enabling him to do all the things a child of his age, without health conditions can do. These absolutely wonderful people are joining me to raise money throughout the month of September by doing 2000 squats. This works out at just over 66 per day each! 14000 between us all!

Please help us to raise £2k for the 14000 squats Henry’s Angel’s will achieve.

The Angel’s are Julia Waines, Kim Cook, Sam Coleman - Tanner, Rebecca Howley, Emma Hodgson and Michelle Howson!!!!!! We've got this Angel's!!

Henry will be joining in as I am sure George will. Collectively we will be raising money through this just giving page and the funds will be directed to the teams that have and still support Henry on a regular basis at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. That is what the teams have been doing at GOSH for Henry and still do.

Henry Update

As an update regarding Henry's health, he now has a smaller and lighter ventilator which he can move around himself a little easier at home. It's great to see him have a little more independence with this machine. He won't be able to carry it fully for a long time still, but when he is strong enough this will be the aim for short periods to allow him to have more freedom from constant adult supervision.

Currently GOSH are working with us on a 4 weekly basis virtually to try and make changes to Henry's ventilation to prevent further damage to his lungs. Henry needs ventilation, there is no doubt about that, but it also damages his lungs which is irreversible. By making adjustments to the ventilation regularly we all hope to achieve the right support to limit damage and also still see Henry run, play and enjoy life.

Henry's Angel's are pivotal to Henry living as normal a life as possible, cycling, swimming, simply playing and are the reason he can start school 5 days a week this very month!! This is truly amazing for him and us as a family.

Henry's Angel's are excited to be part of this fundraising event and hopefully we will post some updates so you can meet the people who make a significant difference to us being a family too.

Thank you for your donations, big or small. Just by donating you are supporting Henry and others like him to have a chance at living their lives.
