Creating brighter todays and better tomorrows for the children of Wales. Our mission is to support the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and the children and families within it. Every penny you raise goes towards supporting children who will need specialist and often life-saving treatment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am trying to raise funds for the Tiny Lives Appeal as part of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity.

The Tiny Lives Appeal focuses on raising money for the current Neonatal Unit within the University Hospital for Wales in the Heath, Cardiff. There is currently a £1million appeal to help towards the expansion and enhancement of the unit and currently they are just over halfway there!

The Neonatal Unit cares for some of the smallest and most critically ill babies in Wales, and is the only place in Wales where neonatal babies needing surgery can receive treatment.
The funds raised would help to pay for equipment that will go on to help countless babies’ lives. Items like a ventilator that breathes for the sickest of babies, a phototherapy machine that protects a baby’s fragile system and a specialist device that can save a baby’s sight.

The money you donate could also fund an overnight room so parents can stay close to their babies during the night, and a Mummy Cam which will allow mums to see their babies while their separated from them immediately after birth.

As a neonatal nurse in this unit, I am seeing first hand what a difference the new equipment is making and just as importantly the provisions for the families such as comfortable chairs and breast pumps available so parents can stay with their babies as long as they want!
