Story
I have decided to run a marathon up and down my street, hence why I have called it the Seymer Road Marathon. I will be running laps up and down my road 45 times to reach 26.2 miles. I am going to be doing this on Thursday 30th April, at 10am. If you can please come to my road (social distancing of course) or even sit in your car to give me a cheer.
There are two reasons why I have decided to raise money for UK Sepsis Trust; first of all, my lovely Granny passed away from sepsis on 30th April 2019 (which is why I have picked this date to run it on) so it’s very close to mine and my family’s hearts. Second of all, UK Sepsis Trust needs our help. In view of the crisis that many are facing, the UK Sepsis Trust has made the positive and crucial decision to extend their services, beyond sepsis, to those who have been critically ill with CoVid-19 in hospital. UK Sepsis Trust have decided to step up to the plate, not only because patients who have recently survived sepsis are more vulnerable to its effects, but also because CoVid-19 can cause sepsis in some patients. UK Sepsis Trust believe they have the skills in supporting people affected by sepsis, are directly transferable to those surviving CoVid-19.
I would be so happy and so grateful if you could sponsor me, however big or small, so we can help UK Sepsis Trust help the recovering patients of COVID19.
