Next year will mark 10 years since my treatment for breast cancer.  I am very lucky to have had successful results, so now seems a good time to give a little more back to the 'cancer community'.  The charities we are riding for are Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.  

We are inevitably touched by cancer, either ourselves, or through friends or family, at some point in our lives.  Charities like these make a significant difference to those diagnosed; either through research, or with direct practical, medical or emotional support.  

As we take on the roads (and hills?) of Italy, I will be mindful of the loved ones I have seen suffer, especially my Mum.  She would have been right behind me on this challenge I am sure. 

So, now begins the training to get the legs ready for next Spring.  Over the Winter I plan to lose a few lbs & gain a few £££s for these worthy causes - I would sincerely appreciate any donations along the way.
