In 2017 Simon was diagnosed with locally advanced prostrate cancer.  This was found through a screening blood test as he had no symptoms.  From the start Simon received excellent treatment from all the staff at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon hospitals.  He went through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and brachytherapy.  He was treated sympathetically and professionally by the dedicated staff at both hospitals and so feels that a donation, should you wish, is more appropriate to recognise his big birthday than presents.  

Simon is looking forward to spending a relaxed afternoon with family and friends.
