My daughter was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and poor heart function resulting from the 20 week scan. This lead to us having scans at Evelina once a month to start with and then every couple of weeks towards the end. We made the decision to have our baby at St Thomas so that if any support was needed we were in the best place. The staff at Evelina helped us tremendously through this difficult time, and we feel that by supporting the hospital we are giving thanks to all they have done for us and giving something back for our gratitude. After Amelia was born she went from strength to strength with the help of the Neonatal team and the Polar Bear ward at the Evelina to become the strong 18 month old she is now thriving with everything she does.

We are abseiling off the top of King's Hospital to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
