Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm doing the Virgin London Triatlon without any serious training and expect to to be in quite serious pain for the following week if I complete it - which I hope to! To add to the obstacles, I will be doing the cycling leg without a proper road bike. I'll also be hampered by a left leg infection acquired in Thailand. Nothing if not a challenge! This is also my first triathlon or indeed endurance event of any sort (since taking shortcuts across the fields in school cross country over 10 years ago).

I'm doing this in support of my aunt Debbie and also my Uncle Ron, who's done a similar feat for the battle against MS every year for the last 13 years!

I'd be really grateful for any donations you can give, no matter how small. I'll match the first GBP 100 and - if I fail to complete the course will match pound for pound all the money raised. Umm, maybe don't dig too deep!?!?

Swim - 1.5km (Thames); cycle - 40km; run - 10km

FOOTNOTE 1: not sure why the page appears in euros. Don't worry - the fundraising target is in pounds and the money goes to the MS Society in pounds. Donations in euros work too!

FOOTNOTE 2: in absence of a suitable training photo, or indeed training regime, sunglass-snorkel combo seems the closest I have got to raceday attire lately.
