Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the DiveLife JustGiving page.

We are doing the Coniston Challenge on the 14th September and we need you.
The challenge is a run, canoe or walk based challenge for the Guide Dogs for The Blind, so we are diving. They have given us special dispensation to do it differently.
It will be based on 3 levels depending on how each diver feels.
The dive will last for 1 hour and we will reach a minimum depth of 18 meters. Each level will consist of an amount of time diving with a blacked out mask i.e. diving blind.
Level 1.
This is the hardest. The diver will be diving blind from start to finish of the dive.
Level 2.
The diver will spend about half of the dive blind e.g. they will ascend blind.
Level 3
Each diver will spend at least 10 minutes blind.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
