SiMY has supported young people & their families in Glasgow for 21 years. To raise funds to continue through COVID-19 & beyond, the John Muir Way Relay team are walking or cycling 215km between them, coast-to-coast, from 31 October 2020.

Story

To mark SiMY's 21 years of supporting young people & their families in Glasgow and help this work continue through COVID-19 and beyond, please sponsor Fiona and Catriona to walk Section 3 of the John Muir Way - 21k from Strathblane to Kilsyth - on 6th November.

SiMY's relay team is travelling the John Muir Way in Autumn/Winter 2020, walking/cycling the 215km (134-mile) between them from Helensburgh and Dunbar.

The John Muir Way was developed for health, wellbeing and enjoyment of nature, inspired by the Scots-born founder of the modern conservation movement, who said "Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike."

This ethos fits with SiMY's aim to help young people live life to the full by getting outdoors and being creative, improving their physical & mental health. SiMY encourages them to take responsibility for their own wellbeing, the choices they make and the communities of which they are a part.
