Story

Would you sponsor our John Muir Way Relay team travelling coast-to-coast?

Friends of SiMY will be walking or cycling along their section of the 215km (134-mile) route between Helensburgh and Dunbar., so between them will cover the route from the west coast to the east coast of Scotland.

The John Muir Way was developed for health, wellbeing and enjoyment of nature, inspired by the Scots-born founder of the modern conservation movement.

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike. ~ John Muir

This ethos fits well with SiMY's aim to help young people live life to the full by getting outdoors and being creative, improving their physical and mental health. SiMY actively involves young people and their families in the planning and running of activities, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own wellbeing, the choices they make, and the communities of which they are a part.

Having supported young people & their families in Glasgow for 21 years, SiMY is raising funds to continue through COVID-19 and beyond.
