As I'm sure that many of you are aware, my friend Jess Owens took her own life 5 months ago. I'm not really one for fundraisers but after my own personal experience with the mental health system, I know how terrible and sluggish it can be. You start to think that a better service could be provided if more funding was available which would mean another family wouldn't have to lose someone who was as loved as Jess. Hence, why i thought to raise money for a skydive, would help quell those thoughts in addition to giving someone, somewhere that extra support they need. It's ludicrous that this is still such a prolific issue in this day and age that people don't receive the help they need to overcome the problems they've been dealt by life. so here's to hoping I don't pee myself while I'm up there x.
