Story
In February 2021 we tragically lost our beloved daughter, sister, friend and mummy, Sophie Moss. Having hosted a day in celebration of her life on the same March weekend last year, my mum, myself, and 4 of her closest friends Charlotte, Charlie, Kirsty and Jen, have decided we want to continue to celebrate and remember her by doing something a bit madder (and that she perhaps might have enjoyed doing herself too), so we have decided to take part in the Russ Devereux Project's 2023 skydive on Saturday 25th March.
It's a wonderful charity which from its main aim of reducing deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley area does all kinds of work to promote better mental health among adults and children, working with businesses and schools to run workshops and provide therapy and counselling for those in need including those who have suffered from traumatic loss like us.
We chose this charity because while Sophie didn’t commit suicide, her struggles meant she may have been the type of person to benefit from their work, and we firmly believe many people need more support with their mental health. Donations will therefore be going towards these crucial efforts in an area which is close to all of our hearts. We appreciate all the support and thank you so much in advance. Let's make her proud Team Sophie!
