Story
AND THAT'S IT!!
Team London finished the course in 23 hours, 3 minutes and 24 seconds (official result!!!!). We came 96th. Not bad...
Now that our injuries have faded and feet are back to normal (kinda!), we'd like to thank everyone for their support!
Welcome to Team London's fundraising page.
Trailwalker is a 100km jaunt along the South Downs, stretching from Petersfield, finishing at Brighton Racecourse. Oh yes, and it has to be completed within 30 hours!
Easy!
A bit of background on the team of four entering the Trailwalker challenge:
Gavin London (head honcho) - after completing the London Marathon last year wanted a new challenge for this year. After hearing about Trailwalker from one of his colleagues (take a bow Mr Davies!) he felt compelled to enter.
Simon Salter is no stranger to madcap adventures and fundraising! Last year, he completed the Plymouth-Banjul rally and now he has signed up for the London-Tashkent Challenge later on this year. This is just another chapter in his life.
Hugh Davies being 'somewhat' senior in age, has been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Being allegedly part welsh, but never mastering rugby, has to take out his aggression through pretty much any outdoor pursuit. Hugh has partaken in various challenges and feels he is equipped to complete trailwalker.
And not forgetting Mr Moore aka 'Mr Motivator'. Leigh is 'walking-mad' and is keen to offer his time and energy for this unique and challenging charity event.
To enter this challenge, we have been given the donation target of £2,000. And this is where you come in.....
We would appreciate anything that you kind people can spare. We know that people are feeling the pinch at this time, however, we would really appreciate all the support you can give us for in our quest to raise monies for Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust, two fantastic charities.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam Trailwalker gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. This way, all the money we collect is maximised down to the last penny.
Cheers for listening!
