Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

You may remember 3 years ago I said I wouldn't ask you to support me again for charitable causes?

Well I was wrong because John Hammond and his team of intrepid cyclists and Rotarians (Loddon Vale & Hamburg Haake) are undertaking another inspiring Cyclethon from Sonning (Reading) to Hamburg over 8 days in May 2016.

The charities to be helped from the ride are a local charity, Launchpad, helping the homeless in Reading relaunch their lives into new beginnings and CAMFED, helping the communities of southern Africa by educating their young women.

The ride, which is nearly 500 miles, will be joined by cyclists from our twinned club Hamburg Haake Rotary Club at the German border and  will finish with a joyous rally in Hamburg at the meeting venue of our twinned club at the Hotel Lindtner in the leafy suburbs of Hamburg.

This is the first time cyclists from our two Rotary clubs have undertaken a joint fundraising event

and the rally will coincide with the visit of 16 Loddon Vale Rotarians and partners to Hamburg as part of our twinning process.

Please help us raise some money to help these worthy causes.
