Story
The Rugby Portobello Trust (RPT) has been supporting the North Kensington community since 1884. They do incredible work supporting some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the local community through academic support, sports, art, music, employment workshops, mental health and wellbeing sessions, skill-building and off-site trips. They also support local mothers and carers to build strong, healthy relationships with their babies and young children.
They help more than 1,300 people every year, running services seven days per week. They are more than 80% funded through fundraising events, donations, corporate support and grants from small trusts and foundations. They are dependent on fundraising events for almost 40% of their total income.
As a result of the pandemic, and the cost-of-living crisis we're currently going through, local families need our help - and the help of RPT - more than ever.
I'm running the London Marathon for RPT with my baby girl Dolores in mind.
