I am proud to work at the Royal Free Hospital and am raising money for the Institute of Immunity and Transplant. I see many patients with infections who will directly benefit from the research work of this new institute. These patients include those with diabetic foot infections, urine infections after a kidney transplant or pneumonia after chemotherapy. Helping these patients’ immune systems fight these infections will become more and more important as we run out of antibiotic treatment options.
