The Harlequins Foundation Rival Ride is a 200km ride from The Stoop to Gloucester Kingsholm Stadium on 13/14 April 2018. with an agonising 162.5km through hills on Day 1 to see if they can break us.
The Ride is to raise vital funds for the continuation of the Harlequins Foundation's work. The Foundation runs a number of programmes almost entirely funded by public donations. These include:
METTLE
Mental health affect one in four people in the UK and a high number of teenagers. In June 2016, the Foundation launched METTLE which, through its resources, brand and experience aims to raise awareness, challenge the stigma around mental health and build mental resilience.
The Brighter Future Local Community grants programme- The Foundation supports the community and has provided grants to various organisations including the Crossways Centre -Me too and co which provides activites and therapies for children with disabililties and additional needs.
SWITCH - a multi tiered programmes aimed at encouraging girls to get involved in the sport by creating accessibility, providing opportunities for the sport to become part of their PE lessons, clubs and festivals, and providing coaches to nurture and develop girls progression in the game.
