TRIBE x Opinium: LEJOG *virtual* Challenge · 4 December 2020 ·

Over just two weeks, the Opinium team will collectively run, ride and walk 1,000km, the distance of Land's End to John O'Groats to support TRIBE Freedom Foundation and empower the survivors of modern slavery.

Story

Please help me and the Opinium Team help TRIBE to continue fighting modern slavery and put an end to human trafficking.

TRIBE Freedom Foundation is on a mission to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking. They work by raising awareness of trafficking, supporting survivors and enabling frontline projects to prevent modern slavery. They empower communities to create an impact. Now, more than ever, the pandemic is putting more adults and children who are already in, or vulnerable to modern slavery, at even higher risk of exploitation, so your support could not be more important.

Did you know?
There are currently more people living in slavery than ever before:

  • 40.3 million people are currently living in modern slavery across the world
  • 1 in 4 modern slavery victims are children – that’s 10 million children in slavery across the world
  • Women and girls are vastly over-represented - making up 71% of victims
  • An estimated 136,000 people are living in slavery in the UK.
  • $150 billion USD - illegal profits generated from forced labour by traffickers each year

Thank you so much for your support!
