Story

Hi Everyone,

On Tuesday 26th October I’m doing a sponsored 10 mile horse ride dressed as a banana (yep you read that right!) across both Wimbledon and Richmond Common in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

For those of you who don't know The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign is part of  The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital which is an amazing hospital and charity that does so much to help fight the battle against cancer. Some of its recent projects include building a Children’s and Teenage Cancer Centre at Sutton Hospital and the Hospital to Home Programme which enables many cancer patients to continue treatment and palliative care at home. They also pioneer some of the world’s leading new cancer treatments and are currently help build Europe's most advanced Critical Care Unit.

All the work and research they do stretches far beyond the confines of the M25 as they work with  teaching hospitals, cancer charities, hospices and many other organisations up and down the UK to ensure those affected by cancer get the best support and treatment possible.

They truly are an amazing charity which does so much in the fight to beat cancer so please dig deep and donate now guys.

If anything the comedy value of knowing i’ll be walking like John Wayne for the next week must be worth at least a tenner!

About the charity

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
