Last September our lives were turned upside down when our gorgeous darling baby entered this world at 7pm on Sunday 10th. She weighed a dinky 2.6kg and was the most amazing thing to ever happen to us. She was born at Kings College Hospital, a long way from our home in Maidstone, Kent.

Olivia was born with a medical problem meaning she needed major surgery at just two days old. We knew she would require a lengthy hospital stay.

We were lucky enough to get a room at Camberwell house, just a few minutes away from Kings. Without the warmth of the house and a comfortable bed to sleep in, an already awful experience would have become unbearable but we would have either commuted or slept "rough" in hospital. This would have meant we wouldn't have been on top form for visiting our gorgeous girly.

The charity are just amazing and very few people know about the massive difference they make to a family. Knowing your child is poorly in hospital is the worse feeling but knowing you can be back by their side in a very short amount of time is extremely comforting. 

We were at the Camberwell house when Hike 4 Houses took place in 2017, so to be able to now take part and bring our Olivia with us (who will be just over a year old!) is our way of giving something back. £425 will mean we have paid for our time spent at the house but obviously we would love to raise more!
