Story
Hi there!
My name is Aneeqa. I will be flying to South Africa, Cape Town, to challenge myself in a variety of activities such as hiking, kayaking and cycling, to fundraise for Islamic Relief's emergency appeal for Palestine.
Simmering tensions in the Middle East appear to have tipped into an unprecedented escalation, worsening the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. Struggling civilians once more face the horror of major airstrikes, with a rapidly rising death toll and hundreds of thousands of people displaced with nowhere safe to go.
Islamic Relief is appalled by recent reports of deaths and violence, and continues to strongly condemn any and all violence against civilians. We plead with all parties to exercise restraint to avoid further civilian casualties.
At least 5,087 Palestinians have been killed and tens of thousands more injured. This number is expected to increase rapidly as airstrikes continue. Over 60% of those that have been killed are women and children. In the Gaza Strip, the strikes are thought to have forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes. Seeking shelter in dozens of schools, they urgently need food and other basic survival items.
£120 can provide two families with life-saving food.
£200 can provide emergency medical supplies.
My goal is to raise £3000.00.
يا رب انزل السلام والبركة على غزة وأهلها واحفظهم بعينك التي لا تنام
"Oh Lord, bring peace and blessings to Gaza and its people. And protect them with your eyes that never sleep"
As a part of Ummah, it’s our responsibility to stand for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Let’s support them by making sincere dua and donation as much as we can to make a difference.
