Help Unicef support Rohingya children fleeing to Bangladesh, seeking refuge from violence in Myanmar

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

A team of 3 students (Zeeshan Malik, Guransh Sodhi and Sulaiman Iqbal) will be running over 10 miles from Southall to Slough on Sunday 15th October. The money raised will be given to UNICEF UK to support more than half a million Rohingya refugees who have fled violence in Myanmar and crossed the border to Bangladesh in the past few weeks. The persecution against the Rohingya community has been described by the UN's human-rights chief as a ''textbook example of ethnic cleansing''. As fellow human beings, we do not want to be bystanders to such injustice and hope to play a small but significant role in supporting these innocent people in need of help.

Ultimately, our initiative is not just aimed to encourage donation to this page and for this cause but also to inspire others to take part in their own fundraising projects for the thousands of worthwhile causes that impact our world today.
