Story

During July and August Southampton House is competing against the other Convex Houses to race virtually across the world from London to Bermuda. Our mission will involve moving 5,157 miles, via Guernsey, Luxembourg and Princeton New Jersey in order to make it to our sunny destination.

We're doing this to raise money for our charity partner, Alzheimer's Research UK so please do sponsor us if you can.

1 in 3 people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime unless we bring about life-changing preventions and treatments. Dementia is not a natural part of aging. It is caused by physical diseases, most commonly Alzheimer's. The damage to a brain with Alzheimer's can leave it weighing 140g less than a healthy one. That's about the weight of an orange. But this shows that Alzheimer's is a physical disease and through research, we know diseases can be slowed. They can be stopped. We're fundraising to help fund this life-changing research.
