I’m weirdly excited to be running the London marathon 2022! I’m delighted to be supporting mind Cymru and aim to raise £500.
Ultimately, the aim is to finish the race in under 5 hours. A previous best is 5hrs 16mins (Munich 2016) so there’s a fair bit of training needed!
Just getting to the start line will be success in itself. When I was diagnosed with Depression and severe anxiety in May 2021, one of the many challenges I was faced with was simply not being able to get out for a run. The anxiety would be crippling and I remember sitting on the sofa, all my kit on just staring outside for over an hour, and NOT getting anywhere!
So whilst I would be over the moon to do a sub 5 hour marathon, just starting it will be success enough in many ways.
