Up to 25 rowing teams comprised of solo rowers, pairs and fours will set off from La Gomera in the Canary Islands and compete to be the first to cross the finish line 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in Antigua.  Each team will be completely self-sufficient – generating electricity from solar panels, filtering water from the Ocean and eating food all stored on board. Our team will experience extreme sleep deprivation, hallucinations, severe weight loss, physical pain and psychological exhaustion as we row around the clock in 2 hour shifts that could last up to 90 days. The journey is perilous as the team has to navigate through storms, 50ft waves, oil tankers, sharks and whales while keeping the equipment running and each other sane!
