Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Friday 25th March St Mary's School will be having a Fitness Fundraiser which will involve all of the children having a professionally led 'fitness fun-time' session out in the playground (weather permitting), to raise funds to support the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine through the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. Charities include Tearfund, Save the Children, Christian Aid and the British Red Cross, all of which we have supported in previous St Mary's events.

At least two million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they now face an uncertain future.

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost.

DEC charities are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meeting the needs of all refugees and displaced people:
£30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month
£50 could provide blankets for four families
£100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month

Please give what you can.
