Story
I am running this for my friend and the family of Tara Williams who has been attending the Calvert Trust Centre for many years.
Calvert Trust Exmoor is an adventure centre that enables people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable activities, together with their friends and families. As a charity, we need to raise in excess of £400,000 each year to help those with disabilities to conquer their goals with a break at our all-inclusive centre.
As a Londoner, the Greenwich Marathon has always held a special place for me, from being a teenager when I helped to give out water to the runners on the Woolwich Road to being a regular at the half way mark of Tower Bridge to shout some encouragement to the tired runners making their way round. I feel very privileged and lets be honest I am absolutely s**ting myself to be part of this inspiring event. I hope to do my bit in raising some money for this wonderful cause so that they can continue to bring joy to the families that get so much out of the Calvert Trust experience.
Every donation, no matter how large or small, helps Tara & others
enjoy their activities and achieve their full potential.
So please donate if you can or even a loud cheer from the streets of London will help me get around those long 26.2 miles!
Thank you so much
