The work of The Children’s Foundation inspires and interests me both personally and professionally on so many levels. Community health, nutrition and wellness and mental health are all initiatives I am extremely passionate about. Being given the opportunity to change and improve the lives of children in the state of Michigan is truly an honor and a gift as a Trustee on the Children's Foundation Board.

The 5 pediatric priority areas that the Foundation focuses on all resonate with me, as I have witnessed first hand the vast needs of education, resources, funding and tools needed in our communities in Michigan. I am extremely interested in the opportunity to leverage my experience, network and skills to best assist the Children’s Foundation in any and every way I can as a trustee.

From the minute I had my first meeting with the Foundation team, I felt a connection to an organization I truly believed I could make a difference in and hope that you can help me in supporting this organization and its partners.

If you know me, it probably comes as no surprise that nutritional wellness is the focus area I am most interested in professionally. Having said that, I am also extremely concerned and committed to raising money for mental health issues right now during the pandemic. As a parent to two teenagers, I see first hand the challenges our children face in today's world. The depression, anxiety, eating disorder, suicide rates and other mental health diagnoses are rising with the pandemic and to me, there is no better time to raise awareness and funds to support our mental health initiatives in Michigan.
